Church for people who don't GO TO Church

In the summer of 2007 Pastor James and Christie Ross began to feel that God was calling them to plant a church in Crestview. They knew two things: this church needed to exist for those who did not currently go to church and this church needed to be a force in the community and not just a Sunday morning gathering.

God connected the leadership of the Okaloosa Baptist Association with Pastor James. They realized that there was a great opportunity for a partnership to make a positive impact in the community for Christ. Several Baptist churches in Crestview, along with a few other churches and some of Pastor James' friends and family, gave of their resources to help this vision come to life.

Beginning in September of 2007, seven people began to meet in a home on Sunday nights; to share life together, study the Bible, and discuss how they could show the love of Christ to Crestview and the surrounding areas. A few others began to join in bringing the vision of Mosaic Church to life and helped to start worship gatherings at the Crestview YMCA in December of 2007. In April of 2008 after moving to Antioch Elementary School, Mosaic publicly launched their worship services and began to try and connect the community with Christ and others.

The Church is a group of people, not an institution. Our church reflects our people's lives: We have had our share of struggles and we have had to learn some things the hard way..... BUT GOD has used us to see some incredible things happen and to lead people to understand how much HE loves them and that their purpose is found in living for HIM!

There is an incredible sense of expectancy for what God has in store for Mosaic. We know that the best days are ahead! We believe that our church is not just a place to sit down, but is a place where you can be a part of God's movement to see people's lives changed in Crestview and beyond.
